If you went down to the woods on Friday 29th May…… you’d have found a big group of carers, staff and children having a lot of fun! Despite the awful weather to start, the day was huge success; with the overwhelming feedback being very positive. Children and adults alike had the chance to toast marshmallows, search for tadpoles and have fun on the adventure playground. The den building in particular brought out the inner child in everyone and got particularly competitive at times!
A massive “thank you” goes out to David Cuming-Bailey (foster carer) and our friends at the Forestry Commission for making the day such a positive one. The feedback on the day will be used to ensure that we are listening to how we can continue to support foster children, as well as foster carers and their families. Suggestions of ideas for future events are welcomed.
Senior Practitioner Alison Tasker organised the event and said, “We’re looking forward to the next get-together. It was great to see people making new friends and catching up others.”
