Capstone Foster Care was delighted to help a local junior football team by sponsoring their team’s kit ‘Beacon Rangers Junior Football Club’.

Beacon is Southowram’s local football club, which values teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive encouragement. The club has limited resources, and the donation made by Capstone will make a genuine difference for the players.

We have received a lovely letter re the kit sponsorship from Nigel Freeman, Chairman of the Beacon Rangers Junior Football Club;

“This is to formally thank Capstone Foster Care for the sponsorship of Beacon Rangers Junior Football Club for the 2016/2017 season .Thank you once again. Capstone’s sponsorship is genuinely helping children in the local area”

Dean and Paul are the proud foster parents of D who recently sang in the largest children’s choir in the world, Young Voices. Over 6000 singing school children took to the stage over six nights at the Genting Arena in January 2017

Foster carers Paul and Dean said:

“The whole performance was fantastic we are proud of D and his commitment to the choir. He never missed rehearsals and gave up his school break times regularly to practise”

Young Voices provides an unrivalled musical opportunity for primary school children to perform all styles of music including folk, pop, rock and classical. Young Voices is designed to unify children from across the region, boost their confidence and provide lifelong memories for them and their families. Young voices embraces all children from all walks of life, cultures, backgrounds and ethnicities, the event was a fantastic opportunity for all to come together under the one roof.

Young person D said it was ” It the best day ever, I can’t wait to do it again at the next event. The experience was great!”

Capstone Supervising Social Worker, Helen, said:

“Paul and Dean are kind, caring, warm and nurturing carers. They work extremely well in partnership with other professionals and always advocate for the young people in their care. They go above and beyond and always prioritise the needs of the young people, ensuring they have a variety of after school extra-curricular activities, holidays abroad and weekends with friends. Paul and Dean are a pleasure to supervise and they have a wealth of experience from both the vast amount of training they have attended and the daily challenges they have had to face during their time as foster carers”

Well done to Dean and Paul for encouraging the young person they support to achieve such an amazing goal.
