It was a very busy Christmas time for our Capstone team in the North. There were lots of activities planned for staff, carers and children, including bowling and a trip to the pantomime to see Aladdin – oh yes we did!
Christmas isn’t complete until the children meet Santa. The Capstone group did this by meeting Santa in his grotto on the Santa Express Train, usually known as theKirklees Light Railway. Santa’s elves gathered everyone in the carriages, and as the children wrote letters for Santa, the adults were treated to mince pies! It was a great day and Yvette Schmet, Regional Director, said:
“It’s a really magical moment to witness children meet Santa, and it was nothing other than a really special day. Thank you to the carers and staff who came along to all our events at Capstone this Christmas. It’s amazing to support young people and children to have a Christmas they deserve.”
What our carers had to say
“Watching children meet Santa is fantastic and taking our two foster children on this trip was one of the most exciting things that we had planned. Thanks Capstone for supporting us to take these children to meet Santa it was a fab day for us all”.
