Tarlie Walker a Supervising Social Worker for Capstone took part in the Bath Race for Life for Cancer Research on Sunday 12th June. Tarlie had a scare herself earlier in the year and wanted to give something back to all the amazing nurses and people who had been involved with her treatment. So the training programme started after Tarlie had made a full recovery was ready to take part in the event. It was held at Victoria park in Bath and ended up being a very muggy rainy day but this didn’t put Tarlie off, she was ready to take on the world and raised a lot money for this worthwhile cause.
Tarlie commented “I ran the race for life – cancer research and managed to raise £390 which I was not expecting – I am thankful to all the people that sponsored me and to Capstone for their generous donation. I didn’t realise how hilly the course would be but I did a personal best of 27 minutes despite a quick stop for my dog Cosmo, he was an amazing running companion”
