Sleep Walk for Rowcroft Hospice

IMG_2156Karen Winser from our South West team and her daughter Jean completed the 2016 Sleep Walk for Rowcroft Hospice in July. They walked 10 miles along the Paignton and Torquay Coast line in 3 hours and were very happy with that time

Karen said:

“Knowing you got a medal and a bacon buttie at the finish line made it all that more worthwhile. We have raised a remarkable £200 so far!”

The sleep walk was a 80’s theme this year and they decided to think outside the box and Jean came up with the idea of dressing up as Rubiks Cubes! Mother and daughter searched high and low and found their amazing costumes.

Jean said:

“We had many positive comments on the walk about our outfits and we entered into the best dressed team!”

The hospice they are fundraising for, Rowcroft, provides amazing respite and end of life care.

Karen said: “They really looked after my nan at the end of her life, they also provided special care for a close friend’s mum. This is why we continue to support this charity on a regular basis, without this service many families would not have the opportunity to spend quality time with their loved ones.”
